Go fourth and gather parts:

I think this stage in the project is the most boring to me. I would rather be hands on working on the Super than just out scavenging for parts but it is a necessary evil. I am getting better at finding good useful pieces that will be key in the eXtreme Super project car. The latest is the Nitrous tank and the NOS Purge System we will use these and show you how to build your own nitrous system from scavenged and some new parts.

Other Items I have procured in the last month are the PT Cruiser Street tail light assemblies and the 12” Rockford Fosgate Subwoofer.

The Super Beetle project car is still out at Grobbel Racing. They are working on the electrical system. One of their biggest hang-ups was the starter. It seems that when a car has sat in a barn for 8+ years the starter tends to freeze up. Jason G. took the starter out and rebuilt it to be like new.

Grobbel Racing has remotely mounted the Optima battery in the front (trunk), and has installed the push button starter system.

Well that’s the update for now.

Thanks, Jim
